EPCOR, an Edmonton-based utility company, is using water meter technology from the Arad Group, an israeli firm linked to the israeli military and illegal settlements. When faced with public objections, EPCOR's response was to offer a paid opt-out program, which activists argue fails to address the company's complicity with human rights violations.
