The company was founded in 2010 by israeli Adam Neumann and American Miguel McKelvey, and Manhattan real estate developer Joel Schreiber bought a 33% interest in the company. Once valued at $47 bil, WeWork filed for bankruptcy last November 2023. That's when India-born US entrepreneur Anant Yardi acquired a majority stake. Yardi is the Founder and President of Yardi Systems, a software company that makes applications for property management and real estate companies. An article in Jewish Business News claims Yardi is an israeli entrepreneur.
